1970 14ft Richline boat and trailer, first boat

Picked up this rig for $600 on craigslist. came with the original trailer, 2 minn kota trolling motors, new and never used battery, a 83 9.9 johnson motor (which is stuck in reverse), a 20 gallon live well, etc... the owner before started it as a project and had built a decently nice deck across the front. only thing i dont like about it is that there isnt any storage space besides the live well. ill have some more pics uploaded next weekend when we clean it out and pull the deck off to rewire some lights.

plans are to get it painted and try this steel flex that I've been reading on here about, remodel the deck to at least have a dry storage container. build a shallower flat deck in the rear and have a container for life vests and tackle boxes. transom is a little rotted but itll last the rest of this summer i believe. we re-wired the trailer already because those lights were shot and wires were frayed, but we will be sanding it down and painting it this fall.

(dont mind the trailer hood in the back ground. just keeping the boat at my buddys shed off base until i can free mine up. i have a 94 chevy stripped and in the middle of a new paint job in my garage.)

THAT is what I've been telling friends who hear of my labors on my 14ft '59 Alumacraft and suggest they'd like to do a project like mine. I insist they should wait and lurk and find a boat that has most of the work done, and then snatch it up, get the motor checked out and repaired, do the trailer lights and bearings, and just go fishing !!!

yeah its a great boat. we have the 9.9 off of it for now and are just using the trolling motor. but all the lakes around here are 71 acres to 155 acres. once the engine gets going im gonna bring to down to lake of the ozarks. ive been fishing since march in it. the guy had to sell it in two weeks to move for a job promotion so he put it up for $600. i couldnt have got luckier.
