Trying to find what parts I need to convert my 1983 25 to a 30-35?? Just carb? Carb and intake? Any advice helps. What years are compatible?

Intake and carb and if the motor has a cold start primer the hose may also be larger diameter
The 35hp carb and intake are roughly 1/2" larger in diameter.

Not all 35's have the larger intake. That started mid run, ,maybe 1983-84 or so when the new hp rating standards,
Its hard to tell this many years later too, there's a lot of 35hp motors out there that were robbed of their carb and intake and sold with the parts in their place.
In 40 or so years a lot could have happened to a motor too. A good many older motors have now been through dozens of owners over the years so its no guarantee that one your working on has never been touched before or has its original parts. People have been doing that swap for 30 years or more now.

There is a YouTube on this. TOO (This Old Outboard). I believe the parts have been mentioned already.
I converted a 95 Evinrude 25 hp to a 30-35 hp. It takes both a carb and a manifold. The hard part is finding the parts, and if you do the cost is high. I found an original carb on eBay after a good bit of searching. There is an Article on tin boats.net with pics “Johnson/Evinrude 20/25 conversion to 30 hp with pics” . Good luck on your project.
