Here is my progress so far on the 88 Monark I have been relife-ing. This is my first rebuild that included painting. Thanks for all the help I recieved form this site.
Thanks. I should be finished by next weekend. I really want to sell the 35 Mercury and controlls, so I can put a 15hp or larger tiller steer. When I want to go to the electric only lakes, I can remove the tiller easily.
A few more pics from the weekend. Didn't get as far as I would have liked, but I resfuse to rush this one (even with hunting season approaching). I did get the trailer painted, new bunks made and the final coat on the bottom.
What is that color exactly?
Originally, I wanted the outside to be slightly darker grey than yours, but because of the liner on the inside only being available in Tan and not Light Grey, I decided to change the color scheme. It should still look nice, but I'm still curious what color that is on your boat?
The primer that you mostly see in the pics is a light grey. It almost looks like a blueish tint in the light. The final coat (that I only have on the bottom now) is a dark grey. I like it a lot better. I will take a picture when I get half the side painted, so you can see the difference.

Thanks guys. Yes I would still like to change it to a tiller. I ran wires underneath to the front and put a toggle switch. If I can get a tiller, i'll take it off to go electric only, and use the switch to turn another trolling motor on from the front when moving long distances. I'll just keep it locked straight and use the foot controlled to steer.
