it has 4 benches if you count the very small one at the bow, i want to remove the the second one from the back. they are only connected to the floor by a small support 6 inches wide right in the middle. will removing this bench affect the stability or cause twisting of any kind??? any help would be great and will try to get pics soon.

I saw another conversion where they removed most of the seat and then added a brace in the same place low to support the floor. That gave it side to side support and still opened up the area. They also had small storage area on each side. I have a Lowe 16 ft that I'm getting ready to start on and gave this some thought too.

Removing a bench could effect the strength of the boat and you might see some twisting, but pics would really help us out with advice.

I plan to remove the same bench seat in my boat, but I'm going to remove it very carefully and then take it for a test drive to see if it's any weaker. If it is, I'll just rivet it back in place before I get too far along with my mods.
