alumacraft model FD

I have aluma craft FD. I would like some information on it. I would like to do a conversion to make it more fishable and safer for my kids. has anybody done a FD, wondering how much weight I can add. Did a search but no posts. Also what size motor would you recommend. thanks

I grew up fishing out of an Fd. We ran a 18 hp Evinrude with no issues. Not sure what you are thinking of to make it more fishable. We spent many hours on the water in lots of conditions. Do not remember ever feeling consern for safety, but I was a fearless kid, not as smart as I am now (LoL).

The boat is really stable.
