what are you guys useing to hold your achor/tie it down

Rope :wink: Sorry, couldn't resist. You can buy cleats for a few bucks. On smaller boats I like the ones you just weave the rope through a few times, no tying required.

I use those metal holders with the pulley. They work very nice. About $5 at Walmart. If they're out, Bass Pro Shop has them also.

ok ill buy some cleats when should i mount them... i know on the boat :roll:

Preferably two on each side, forward and aft. Currently I have one cleat on my rig (stbd side, fwd), that I use for tying-off the anchor line.

Ditto. I have mine mounted on the bow, and love the convenience of not having to tie the rope off.. allthough I do have the end of the anchor rope secured to the boat. Just in case it don't lock and I don't know it's slipping..
