Congratulations Oldboat,

Should be able to whip that darlin' into shape over a week-end or so. :)

If you get a chance, use the search function to look up TexasLoneStar56, who worked her hoofies off bringing back a ?'56 Lonestar.

Best wishes

That's going to be a cool boat. Looking fwd to seeing the restoration process.

Thanks CedarRiverScooter !! This will be a bit of a back burner boat for now.. I'll leave it where its at now for the remaining winter and bring it home in the spring. I will clean it up and access what all needs to be done.. probably work on it a little at a time as I have two others that are first priority.. one pretty much a freshen up and re-power and another a full restoration.. but this will get attention and I'll keep it posted as I do things to it.. along with my others !!

This is terrific. You have a corral full of pretty cool old tin boats.

My Dad had a Lone Star. Different model than your Holiday but it was a great boat.

Thank you LDUBS !! its been a little while since I posted this but I finally went and picked up this boat on Sunday and brought it home.. we got it on a trailer and made the 2 1/2 hour trip back home.. most of the snow and ice was gone.. although there was still some ice and at least a 100 + gals. of water in the boat.. I pulled the boat about a mile and could tell it was quite heavy.. I stopped at a gas station and cleaned out the drain plug and it drained for quite some time !! we stopped at a car wash on the way and sprayed it down and tore out most of the rotted floor.. once I got it out of the weather I cleaned out over another 100 lbs. of wet debris..
