Looking into putting a live well in my middle bench seat of my 14' flat bottom. Is there any harm in cutting and removing the foam in the bench?

I would replace it with some foam some where else. I am installing one in my middle seat as well adding a casting deck. Check out my build.

Depends on how you cut it. The seat give the center of the boat support. Taking out the foam would only be a problem if the boat swamped. There is just enough foam to keep the boat from going to the bottom. Cutting just a hatch out shouldn't hurt it at all. As suggested above, replace any foam taken out somewhere else in the boat.

Any pics of the installed live well? All I see is the hatch

I added a pic last night. Cutting the foam out was not enjoyable but I pounded through it and got it done. I am going to use the foam that onthewater used to fill a couple of areas under my casting deck.
