Are these trailer bunks correctly positioned for a jon boat?

I've read that douglas fir is good for trailer bunk boards and is readily available. You may want to do some research on this.

Depends on your area. Some areas use predominantly fir for lumber, some use other trees with similar characteristics. In my area, it’s mostly Southern Yellow Pine.

I just bought the lumber for my bunks and was surprised to find the 2x4x12s were fir. Just about everything else at Home Depot was SYP.
