Hello everyone, long term lurker but I've spent the past few days (and most of the past two weeks planning) redoing my 12'. I got her in a trade for an old fiberglass boat when I lived in TN last year. I'd been saying to myself I was going to do this, I was going to do that, yada yada bing bang ding dong whatever.

So, I finally do something about it. She's not quite done (few projects ever really are) but she's damn far better than she was before.

Enjoy!

Don't get me wrong, I love bow-mounts but this particular model just feels wrong for this boat (given its size). There are better suited alternatives than the particular bow-mount I have, anything with a smaller mounting footprint and/or a different control method would be nice. As is, every time I had two people in the boat (before rework) it felt too cramped and there was too little room to move around (TM + the big seats it had) and with smaller boats being more tippy, it felt like it left too little room for error as there was always something to either step over or around.
