I've been gone a long time. After Photobucket took my pics hostage all those years ago I just couldn't face replacing them in all the projects/comments I had posted, especially after suffering through all the ads they made me watch to use their service. Eventually I sold my boats and began kayak fishing and didn't fit here anymore so I drifted away.

I do remember the good community built up around tin boats and thought there used to be a karma section where people could share and spread the love. I'm back today to see if anyone knows any non-profit looking for fishing gear for a "getting kids fishing" or similar program. I'm thinning out the tackle and can't find any local org. in central MN interested. I don't want to C'sL the stuff and would rather give to some group in need. If anyone knows of such a group I am happy to ship at my expense. Thx

I was lucky enough to find neighborhood kids that wanted my equipment.

I did a search on "kids fishing charities" and the first couple seemed to only want cash donations or equipment from suppliers.

This one said you can email them a list of the equipment: Kids Fishing Foundation
http://www.kidsfishingfoundation.com/Donate.html

This one takes donations and is in the twin Cities MN: Fishing For Life https://fishingforlife.shelbynextchms.com/external/form/cf640354-40a0-438b-95f9-9da960313317

I didn't check them out any further than that. Good luck, and hope you find a good home for your stuff.

". . . . began kayak fishing and didn't fit here anymore so I drifted away."

No pun intended! haha

Looks like you got some good leads for the donations.

Some of the kayak fishing set-ups I see on the lake are impressive.
