Boat and motor decals

If anyone is interested,
if you're looking for a factory type decal for your boat, motor or gas tank, go to E bay under Vintage Boat Decals and look for decals made by "Shabestari"
He has scores of boat decals for virtually any make.
I rebuild steel gas tanks when I can find them cheap and re sell them.
Here is a picture of one that I did. The Cruise A Day decal on it came from him , 2 for $10.
I found a Factory picture from 1955 and it showed the exact same decal.

Good info! How do you clean the inside of the tank and do you use an internal sealant? I've watched a vid of a motorcycle tank being done but it seems like a lotta steps. I have a metal Tohatsu tank that doesn't leak, very light spotty internal rust I'd like to rebadge into a Johnson.

Would love for you to make a thread going into some detail about how you restore the tanks and where you find parts. Have a metal Yamaha tank I was planning on cleaning with electrolysis but haven’t yet tried that.

if there's no rust in it, some acetone should clean it up
sand it, prime it, paint it, put new decals on it and ya got it!
