bubbles under paint

Now to the forum, getting a tin boat soon for bass fishing in the Southwest. Came across a boat, but has this (see pictures)

Triton boat. What causes this and is it really bad or slightly bad?

Is it repairable at a reasonable cost

It is oxidation under the paint caused by poor prep before painting; looks like in your case it could be intrusion due to accessories. Easy to fix with some wire brushes , a grinder, sand paper, self etching primer, new paint and a LOT of elbow grease! :mrgreen:

Not going to hurt the performance any and you can just do some spot repairs to get rid of it.
