My casting deck is nice and big, but there's a significant lip along the front of it...

The top of the lip is 5.5" above the casting deck. I will be mounting a Minn Kota bow mount trolling motor up there, and need to clear that lip. What's the weapon of choice?

A lot of alum boat manufacturers make TM brackets for the bow out of alum. When I had a boat like that I just layers 1x6 boards and covered them with carpet, then bolt all the way through the deck.

I just commented on your other post. If you want a bracket mounted to the deck you can find them around online but for custom fit you could get one made. I don't think you want to stack wood up to get it that high.
 
Think I'll contact the mfgr. and see if they can fix me up with one.
