 6:30AM-1:30PM Strong winds, sunny, 55-72 air temps, 72-75 water temps, muddy water. Fished with friend Rob. The water was real dirty with a visibility of 6" or less. Tough start for the both of us as we tried a variety of lures and techniques. Spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, jigs, senkos, brush hogs did not produce a thing. Finally after a couple of hours later Rob finds the magic lure. He gets the first keeper of the day near a shallow bank loaded with branches. Still nothing for me. We work our way to a "spot" and Rob gets slammed again. Another keeper. About five minutes later Rob gets slammed. She fights like a pit bull driving itself down in the water. I get the NET and wait for it to surface. What a PIG!! I clear the scale, hang the pig and get a 5lb 15oz reading immediatley. A few seconds later it goes to a steady 6lbs even. I was still at ZERO fish. Finally Rob got the last fish(non-keeper) of the day as we approached the ramp. The same lure caught all the fish. Great day for Rob!!! By the way the ramp is getting real bad. One truck got stuck. He got towed out and left right away.
