Years ago I used J B weld to glue transducer into the bottom of boats. I would sand the area ,clean and then glue the transducer
Is there something better than J B Weld to glue the transducer into my tin boat. Does any one has some tips that I could use. I know to NOT glue transducer over a rail and DO try to get as close to motor as I can. Any tips would be appreciated.

Putting the final touches on my Xpress.. Hope to be fishing real soon.

Uh oh I was planning on glueing the puck into the back of the boat I read in lowrance manuel There I saw you could glue the puck inside an aluminum boat Is there some reason that you do not recommend this ?

Dont quote me, But i thought you needed a special transducer for an aluminum boat... I have never done it...

I think you do too. I think its called "aluma-ducer" but I suspected the original poster knew this as he stated he has done this before.
