After picking up this landau 1436 in December. I have finally got the registration taking care of and the motor issues worked out . I decided yesterday to build a transom extender and now that's done its time to hit the water.

Congrats MD. She looks great. How did you make the guide-ons on the trailer? I think I might want to steal the design :)

The guide-on are 1 1/4" pvc I secured it to the trailer with some light weight long ubolts. I will get some close up pics.

Looks great! I'd sure be interested in knowing how you went about building the transom extender. I've got the same motor on an Alumacraft 1232 and could really stand to raise the motor a bit.

jr, its a simple deal i took two pieces of 3/8 steel plate cut 12" x 8" and got 12" piece of 1 1/2" square tubing welded the tubing between my two sheets you will have to use a hammer to tap the extender down into place then two 3/8 bolts to hold it and your done. This raised my motor 5" so you will have to play with the height to get it to your liking. good luck.
