Hello All,

First of all, my english is not the best I live in Quebec and my maine languange is french, but I lived for two year in the States.

stumbled on your web page a few days back and been very interessted with the stuff going around here! I started my own boat mod few days back with a good friend of mine and wanted to share my plan's and general progress.

First of all the plan...

I purchest a barley used Princecraft Yukon 15" boat (https://www.princecraft.com/aluminum-boat/products/Fishing-Boats/2011/Utilities/Yukon-15/overview.aspx) running on a 15hp mercurey engine. I wanted to mod this boat since I usually fly fish for bass and Gar. The boat had already a floor on the foward section, but it was badly instaled. So anyways here is the plan :

Light green is a deck going overt le benches, drak green is a motor mount, blue is a small livewell that might turn out to be just storage trap, brown are two storage traps.

We started by removing the old flooring and salvaging what we could, we also got ride of electrical and other add ons...

After that we took the alluminium pieces that we salvages and made 2 beams to support the flooring going from the center bench to the front one. There is a 19.5 inch gab between the the side of the boat, the beam, the second beam, and the other side. So far we have the frame for the center piece done and I painted the old compagnie wood pieces that went on the benches with an exterior varnish to protect from humidity and mold. I also painted the botom with Corostop a spray paint I used a few times around the house to protect from corrosion and mold.

Wright now, we are finishing the frame for the front section and getting ready to cut out the deck out of regular plywood...
