Hello I was give a 14’ aluminum boat that I’d like to convert into a tiny bass boat. But while cleaning up the bottom I’ve found a crack does anyone think it can be repaired. I’ve looked into marine tek and am wondering if it will work. Or something else. Any suggestion are appreciated.

Thanks.
Chris

With all the wonder products on the market, you should be able to fix that. Be sure you use whatever both inside and outside.. Had cracks bigger than that on my jon boat and used " clear seal leak stopper" roof coating in and outside, after 6 years no leaks.

Are you planning on Painting It? If so I would drill a small hole at the end of crack and then seal it up West system aluminum repair kit 650k

At minimum he can sell it for scrap, something you can't do with fiberglass.

That said, drill the hole as instructed above or have it welded.
