Replacing the points and condensers is just cheap insurance to have the confidence that your ignition system is in good shape.

Is there anywhere to get timing bars anymore???

Correct, but if everything up top looks like it did on the bottom end, I suspect they had been just replaced before it was stored. Plugs were very new looking, only minimal discoloration, brand new wires and boots.. I think most of my time is going to be spent dealing with the 63 year old electrical system.
