I have a 14A nymph and want to take off the front cap of the boat to put thicker aluminum plate for trolling motor mounting and wanted to take the front cap pc. off and put it back on after.

Can these be removed effectively?

Will it want to spread open the V??

Best way to remove these solid rivets??

want to do something similar to this but put the cap back on.

Angle grinder should git r done

I'm thinking the top would be a whole lot easier.

Grind off the tops and tap through with a punch or Philip's head screw driver and hammer.

As most have said...angle grinder..40 grit flap disc...done deal. I would however replace the cap for structural support. I removed a rear gusset once for some minor mods over the winter only to find that I needed to put them back sooner than I did...broken welds resulted.

i have no clue. I found the pic on here. and used it as a illustration.
