I want to put down a raised floor in my boat but I'm worried about debris/rusty hooks getting caught underneath. I took out my boat this weekend and the channels on the bottom of the boat got clogged from throwing the cast net. I started thinking that if I put down a floor how would I get that out? Any advice on how to build it right?

On one of my boats I used 3/4" plywood for the floor, and then used 1/2" long strips for the sides. The two sides block anything from getting under the floor. I did not screw the floor down, but did put screws in the two side boards. So if ya ever want to remove it the floor, just take the two sides boards out.
