I’m back!

I’m back from fishing Lake Baccarac in Mexico, and I’m happy to say it was another awesome trip! The fishing was awesome, The food was fantastic and the beverages were non-stop. I caught three bass over 7 pounds, half a dozen or so over 6 pounds, and dozens in the 3-5 pound range.

Unfortunately I did not get one over 10 pounds, which only means I have to go back again until I do.

Lots of fish came on small swimbaits and jigs, but between the 14 of us, everyone was catching fish with everything you can imagine. Spinnerbaits, senkos, a-rigs, topwater.

It was roughly 18-20 pesos to a dollar. This place is strictly catch and release unless the fish dies because of a gut hook or something along those lines. I'm happy to say that with 14 of us fishing, there were no fish killed. Matter of fact, we actually saved a Bass that was choking on a Tilapia. I will post that video soon.

I was looking at this again -- a little wistfully I guess.

That last pic on post #1 sure looks like it could have been 10#. Again, those are monster fish.

I've literally only been able to get out on the boat once so far this year. I hope to get out again in the next week or two. One thing for sure. Jim's fishing report is going to be a hard one to beat! haha.
