Is a 2007 Johnson 9.9 4-stroke a good motor

Looking at a used one that looks very clean but don't know much about them and Johnson went out of business shortly after 2007 so a little leary. Getting parts an issue? Were these made by Suzuki? Overall impression of these?

They've been owned by Bombardier since 2001 - all they did was kill the "Johnson" brand label and sell motors only under the "Evinrude" name after 2007, the manufacturing operations continued as before.

Brand names are more gimmick than anything these days.

But I'd NEVER own a Tohatsu!! I'm a Mercury guy LOL

You'd have no problem getting parts for that motor.

Have fun buying a new motor
... that limits your options to Honda and Yamaha.. nothing wrong with a Tohatsu.
