I have a 14' Jon Boat and I am using aluminum angle bar for the framing, do I use screws or rivets to attach the aluminum? also I need some ideas for the storage compartments and how to attach the foot controlled trolling motor.

a belated Welcome Aboard.

if you use the search function for this forum,
there are literally hundreds of good threads on aluminum angle
bracing and which fasteners to use for any given situation.

but to answer your question: two pop rivets per connection
is a good idea.

photos of your project is a good idea when addressing any of your concerns.

Hay HD - If you are going to rivet thru hull below waterline, I recommend putting some marine sealant (Like 3M 4200 or 5200) on the tip of the rivet (push it out to get it in between collar & mandrel). A dab around the drilled hole is a good idea too.

If you are careful, you won't gum up your rivet gun!
