Just bought a 12' v hull boat

Sorry for the long time of no posting. I havent done anything to the boat. I just started the framework for the transom today. This is what I got done.






Frame in transom. I need to make the braces from the frame to the bottom of the boat now.

ran out of 2x2 wood. Going to get some more wood today so i can do some more framework

I just bought two 2x2x8 boards, some more angle brackets, and waterproof sealer. Now I can start on the stands for the transom framing.

Congrats on the new boat. The wood on the transom looks like it might be pressure treated? If so it is not a good mix with aluminum. While the work looks really well done, the chemicals used to treat the wood will damage the aluminum.

If it is not PT wood, nice work and well done!!

thanks. It is treated. But after readin up on it. I put weather proofing over it.
