BLUF: Not all panels are made the same, but if it uses a resistor/led in parallel to the fuse, you will get some voltage on terminals with pulled/blown fuse.
Was working on an upcoming project with a fuse panel I picked up some where.
Continuity checks on all terminals were good.
The panel has blown fuse indicators, so hooked it up to 12v battery, put loads on the terminals, pulled fuses and all indicators lit up.
Did voltage checks and had 10v on all terminals with pulled fuses, was expecting 0v.
Short story, this is correct for panels like the ones in the attached picture.
I did some current readings and got 1mA at 12vdc on each led circuit. Not enough current to power anything up. Ohmed the resistor and found it to be 10k.
Just don’t like voltage on a circuit with fuse pulled, so I removed the blown fuse indicators.
