I might redo the paint bc it's starting to peel in several areas after having it the lake for the season.
Future plans are to take off the steering wheel bc it doesn't work with my 1980 7.5 Evinrude.
Maybe adding storage, fish finder, replacing original seats with new wood. Looking for any ideas. Thanks guys. Ben

Thanks Bob! Do you have any pics of your new boat.
Here's a pic of the stand I just built. Does anyone know the best way to winterize an old outboard?
I bought some marine fuel stabilizer. Not sure if I should run it and leave some fuel in the engine or run it dry.

I unhook my fuel line and run my carb empty everytime I put the boat on the trailer. But I also work for a catastrophe team and never know when I'm going to be away from home for an extended period of time. I put fuel stabilizer in every fill up and I also add a couple cap fulls of Mercury Quickclean engine treatment at every fill up. One night of paddleing the boat alone for 4 1/2 hours back to the landing taught me a lesson with the fuel stabilzer and engine treatment.

As long as you keep fuel stabilizer in it...don't let gas sit in the carb for a long time...be sure all the water is drained out of the foot...you should be good. Looks like you are also able to keep it indoors, so you should be fine. But I am no expert. Kevin.
