Purchased this boat and made modifications. Not as complex as mat other builds, but practical improvements. As you can see there was a lot of work removing seat bases, a rotted wood floor/storage compartment and stainless steel trolling motor bracket. I then cleaned the boat really good with a pressure washer. The old decals and stickers were a tremendous pain to remove. Modifications include: The front deck and back seat reinforced with aluminum. Two "L" shaped cuts were made to the inside facing of the seat and font deck. This enabled me to slide pieces of steel angle perpendicular to the seats. The angle was pre- drilled to match the holes of the seat base. The bases are bolted through the added aluminum, the seat itself and then the steel angle making them rock solid when adding a seat and pedestal. I left the floor of the boat open, choosing to coat it with truck bed liner since I use the boat to sink brush and float the river for ducks. Outdoor carpeting covers the benches adding a nice clean look.

Yeah that was the plan. Didn't wanted the added weight of wood, so I opted for the aluminum.

Seems I had the same plan for the floor; leave it as is. But after stepping on ribs all day, I decided to cover them with aluminum sheet and make the floor flat.
Glad I did!
Something to consider.

Thanks overboard for the idea, may have to try that. Sure is fun working on boats.
