Lowes - Tec Outdoor Carpet Adhesive

So of course I asked the Lowes carpet guy for some carpet adhesive for my alum boat deck..

He points me to Tec Outdoor Carpet Adhesive... taking is word, I did not read the details.

It specifically says: Not for marine use or where standing water will be present.

Also says: Make sure surface is free of waterproofing agents

Well... this is a marine application, but necessarily standing water...

Secondly I have spar urethane'd all of my deck with several coats...

Should I not even try this stuff and take it back?

I would take it back. If youre gonna spend money you might as well spend it right.

I have used that stuff. It doesn't work for anything. Junk, IMO.
