I need some new seals for the fill and drain plugs for the gearcase of my Merc 9.9 2-stroke, and wanted to confirm this is the correct part number:

P/N: 12-19183 3

https://www.ebay.com/itm/SET-OF-15-MERCURY-MERCRUISER-BOAT-GEARCASE-DRAIN-SCREW-BLUE-SEALS-12-19183-3/131912493836?hash=item1eb698eb0c:g:YgMAAOSwq9RbqRtU:sc:USPSFirstClass!48118!US!-1

OEM seem to be about $1/seal and aftermarket options tend to be around $0.89/seal.

Thanks!

Difficult to know without knowing the year or model number of your outboard. I suggest using marineengine.com to ID the part number. Ebay is often a bit cheaper.

Do these o-rings need to be replaced every fluid change, or can you go a few years with a set?

Some of them are once and done, for the price it really isn't worth the chance.
