Motor height with setback

I'm putting a little jackplate on a 1542 with a 4" setback. Is there some kind of formula for selecting motor height on jon boats with different setbacks?

I think I've seen some kind of formula for other boats but wasn't sure if the same applied to jons.

There is a formula. I'll see if I can find it because I don't remember it. I know with a set back, for it to be set up correctly, the cavitation plate needs to be a little above the bottom of the boat.
