my 1436 project

hey guys, new here. Ive been reading for a while to get some ideas for my new project. Well here goes!

picked up this 2001 14' x 36" jon boat and trailer for $400 locally. added my 9.9, decking, two trolling motors, and picked up a set of clamp on navigation lights. Adding a humminbird mounting bracket, power cable, and side imaging transducer so I can swap one of my 797s from bass boat to jon boat. I bolted on a piece of angle iron to the front seat for the decking to sit on. Because I wanted the deck to be removeable, I welded two 5/16" nuts onto the bottom of the angle so I can put two bolts through the deck and lock it down. Next up is locating a 20 - 25 hp jet motor. All plywood was 19/32" coated with fiberglass resin to seal out moisture (i had a 4 gallons left over from when I redid my bass boat stringers), and the carpet is indoor/outdoor 6 x 8 for $19 at lowes.

well guys, ive finally finished the project. Added floor, built a dry storage compartment out of plywood/resin and mat. picked up a 1994 merc 25 hp that looks like its never been run, a 65 lb/24v minn kota. Believe i'll sell the boat itself now and start on another project!
