Well i have been a member here for a few months now, and I didn't find out about this site until a few months after i got this boat, so sorry for the few pics in between the "Then and now" process.

Kind of a long story, but here it is...
I first found out about this boat on our local saturday morning, "Buy, Sell, and Trade" talkshow. The guy said he had a 14 foot Lund with a 25hp evinrude and wanted $1700 for it. my dad recognized the guys name, so we made the call and went and took a look at it. My dad knew the guy because we installed Pella windows in his house. His dad use to live accross the street from my parents old house and he had a 14ft Lund. Turns out this was the same boat and it had been sitting in a storage garage for the past 3 years, and he was tired of paying the rent.

Well we had a mismeasured window sitting in our garage and we told the owner that we could give him the window and install it for free + $200. He said he already had an offer for $400 on just the motor, but would ask his wife and call us back. Couple hours later he called and asked if we could install the window in his garage. So after we installed the window the boat was on the back of my truck headed to my garage. Here's a few pics of what it looked like when I brought it home.

The boat was in fairly bad shape. It had been repainted red, and you could tell. The floor was soft in a few spots, and there was ugly red carpet everywhere. The motor hadn't been run in over 3 years. The trailer was rusty all over, and the trailer lights/wiring was all shot.
We got this boat in April of 09 and worked on it a lot last spring and summer, then got pretty busy with work, so we didn't have much time to do a lot with it. My dad and I started working on
it again about a month ago so we could fish in it this summer. All we got left to do is carpet the back floor and mount the seats/pedestals which should be here on friday!!

Since we got the boat we have:
Had the trailer sandblasted and painted white
New lights/wiring, new carpeted bunks, rollers, winch, tounge, trailer jack, U bolted spare on trailer, 2 new tires with bearing buddies.
Scraped all the old paint off the outside.
Tore all carpet and scraped all the glue of the inside. (This part sucked!!)
Got the boat repainted with self etching primer then Lund Midnight Blue on the outside and Charcoal Grey on the inside.
Rebuilt the steering console with oak and 3 coats of spar varnish.
Put in new steering wheel, rack and pinion steering with steering cable, throttle/shift cables.
Put in a new control switch panel.
Put in new Bilge pump and hose, new aerator with hose and 3/4 drain tube.
Installed 2 Everstart Maxx 29 marine batteries, Prosport 120 (dual bank)on board marine charger
2 Humminbird fishfinders
got a good deal ($150) on a minnkota maxxum 50 lbs thrust foot control trolling motor
Engined tuned up with new water pump and runs perfect
watersealed the front deck and recarpeted it. watersealed the back floor now i need to carpet it and install perdestals, get new lund decals and put on my registration stickers and it should be ready to hit the water.

Here is some more pics i took tonight. again i didnt even know this site existed or i would have tooks pics along the way, but here is what it looks like now.

Great job on the boat. That looks real pro, and sounds like a great deal too. Where'd you guys get that paint? That stuff shines like a new car, is there a clear finish on it also?
Great job, again, cant wait to see it when it's all done.

we got a booklet of lund paint from our local lund dealer, then we ordered it straight from the manufacturer, i think it was ppg.
