Just wanted to say HI...Ive been trolling the site for a couple weeks now. Thought I would join and say hi. I got an awesome Fathers Day gift this yr. Its a 12' Montgomery Wards Sea King Semi-V. Im gonna try to get some pics of it up. Been looking around at stuff to do to it. Only problem is I think its a little small to do anything to it. Im 6' around 260 lbs. It says on the plate the the max weight is 380 lbs. Does that sound right? Ill try to get some specs on it when I put the pics up. I was hoping to be able to be able to get my wife and 2 boys out on the boat but I dunno. Im around 260, wife is about 120, and both boys around 40 each. Thats roughly 470 lbs. So that doesnt leave me with any room for a motor battery and any fishing equipment. So I guess im left with finding another boat for the fam to go out with me and keep this one for the days by myself or me and one of the boys......

So is that 380 lb weight limit normal for a boat like that? The plate is a lil messed up and I cant read it all but it looks like it says 380 lbs.

Thanks to anyone that replies...
This site is pretty cool...

Welcome to the site, :) space alone will be your biggest dilemma, especially with two young ones. Hard for them to sit still in one place. Trying to fish plus gear will prove to be a challenge. Weight wise I doubt it would just sink but could tip over. MHO- I would shoot for at least a 16 footer wide bottom if its for 4 people, good luck! BTW, I think it's to small for just you and your wife,,,,,
