Hey guys, just showing off a new rod I picked up. Its a St.Croix Triumph 7' 1pc, 6-12lb line, 1/4-5/8oz lures, medium power and a fast action tip. I wil lbe using it for small crank baits and other small body baits mainly for Walleye but also Bass. I will be picking up an Abu Garcia Soron STX in the 20 size for this rod. There is a fishing show going on here this weekend and I got 2 hats with my rod. There is another show next month, so I will get the Soron there. I wonder what kind of promotion Abu Garcia has? ;) :)

I'm planning on picking up a soron next month at the bps classic. They are offering a $20 rebate on the reel.

Their absolutely the best reels for the price. I like how its built, the smoothness and the reel bag it comes with. I tested 1 out yesterday and I was completely blown away. I wasn't expecting it to be this good. The bearings where the spool is are the same size as the bearings on the drive gear and the drag is sealed and waterproof and has carbon matrix.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't been able to get much on that reel, not too many people have them. I'm gonna trade in one of my clunkers and get a little more cash off on it. I think I'm gonna go with the 10. It has the same line capacity as the 2500's that I'm used to. I just wish it had a t-bar handle.

A T-bar handle would be really nice. The handle screws onto the main gear. The bail wire is nice and thick and the bail spring and who assembly feel very durable and solid. It is an all metal reel. No plastic on this badboy.
