Ive been looking on this forum for a while and have been amazed at some of the mods on your john boats. I have a old boat that my grandad left me when he passed away. I assume its in the 60s or 70s. Its 14ft long. If was wondering if anyone can identify it. I was thinking of doing a low profile conversion if anyone has any ideas. any advice is greatly appreciated.

welcome aboard! that boat has a lot of potential! the way i would look at it it is pretty much a clean slate.if you could draw out some plans or make a more descriptive post it will help me help you come up with a really cool plan. these are a few questions you should ask yourself. wood or aluminum? carpet or no carpet? bow mount or transom mount trolling motor? i go on this site multiple times a day so i will respond to your response quickly.

Can't tell what make it is, but it looks to be pretty sturdily built. Is it a 1432?

Definately a good scrubbing and a couple coats of paint are in order. Check the transom for any rot and replace the wood if Necessary.

Are you going to go with an outboard? or go all electric?

Not sure what part of the country your in But Im thinkin about doing a 1232 or a 1436 mud motor boat as soon as my wife gets off my back about the one im building now. Lol. One of these little mud motors would be great on your boat.
