Well my 16' tinnie is kept real simple. No trolling motor, pull start motor, and just a fishfinder I run off a B&D portable jump starter/power pack.

I use it for mostly coastal striper fishing, and am making a small live well for mackerel and small pollok. My old boat was electric start so I had no prob running a small bilge pump to keep the tank fresh.

What I wondering is if anyone here has used one of those jumper/battery pack for running a small Rule bilge pump, and if so, how long would it last running the pump?

Using a jump pack seems like a simple solution , as I only use it a several hours in the early AM, and don't run it constantly.

This being a tin boat forum, I thought someone else might have tried this out.

thanks

I'm thinking you already have the battery pack?
If so,for what your thinking I'd imagine it would do fine.(3-5hours)
If you don't already have 1,I think a smaller deep cycle would be a better option.
They would have better Ah rating then the power packs. Most power packs are made for boosting and don't have a high Ah(maybe 30?),where as a smaller deep cycle is going to have around 100Ah.
