I received old aluminum boat for free. It's tag on inside shows "Aluminum Boats Inc", 965 LD Eaton. Can anybody shed some light on this company to assist in restoration? I am in Ontario, and it does have serial # also. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I forgot, it's a 14 footer and I figure Aluminum Boats Inc manufactured it, but LD Eaton or Eaton's? probably was the retail store?

Well if Sears made one, the old Eatons wouldnt have been far behind.. I remember Eatons as a kid in T.O.....
In the meantime I found this link that talks about the viking motors eaton produced, but it has embedded links to pages from the eatons catalogs and some of them also show boats.. I havent looked at it too thouroughly but maybe you can find something....

I found a picture in an old Eaton's catalogue from 1962 that looks like the old girl! It was $199.00 on sale brand new! Just in the process of replacing the transom first, then a few more cleanups and floor boards. I will install fishfinder and get ready for late spring perch fishing! I'll get some pictures and post before I get started and along the way and post sooooon! Horny for fishing!

I believe that aluminum boats inc. was the original name of princecraft, before it was bought by alcan along with springbok.
