hello...Mike here. New to the site...I just picked up this 1993 sea nymph 1648 tunnel hull. I never owned a tunnel hull before. I bought it to fish on the Susquehanna river. The river ranges from 4ft to about 1ft...I was wondering if the jet was set up properly..also any plans or ideas on decking or how to fix er up nice...I see so many nice boats on here...all your help would be much appreciated...

Thank you...I was thinking of adding a center steering console...first...where do I get one...lol...and would it be hard to put one in...steering cables...mounting...etc

I'm not sure how mechanically inclined you are but a lot of guys build their own. I've seen several guys build one from an old toolbox or you could just weld/rivet one together out of aluminum. You could get a welder to make you one but it may cost you a little. You can also purchase them online, also pretty expensive.

Thanks...I found a few on cragslist...not to expensive...just wondering if its hard to hook up the steering from stick steering to steering wheel

i would leave the stick steering for use on the susqy. I would also raise the motor up as far as i could under the tunnel. if it cavitate, you can always lower it. I believe you will find that you need to build a splash plate as well.

it keeps water from hitting the intake and splashing up over the transom. some boats need them, some dont, but MOST tunnel hulls do.

I added one to my boat, which is not a tunnel, and get a better hole shot, flatter running on plane, and 1 mph on the top end.
