Ok I'm confused. I might be a rookie but I ain't no pilgram, so all I want to do is get set up with a high seat in the bow of my boat and a low one in the stern, but I want to be able to interchange the seat. Just want to change the pedestal length, not have two different seats and pins. I'm looking at Swivel-ease 3/4" pin system. Looking for some help.

so you want a seat extension? swivel ease makes a 3/4 pin extension in different lengths to go with the seat mounts and base plates, but you still need to anchor base plates front and rear.

If I understand you correctly you want a high pedestal in front and a low pedestal in back with one seat that has a mount you can interchange between the two pedestals? I take it your seat base is a 3/4" pin?

That is exactly what I'm looking for. My confusion comes in making sure I am purchasing pins and bases that are interchangeable. Also where is the best source.
Oh , buy the way, there is something about this site that sets it apart, the willingness to help one another, thanks.

I bought my seat bases and 13" pedestals from Springfields scratch and dent site. Great deals on cosmetically damaged items. The Springfield King Pin bases work with the Swivel Eze seat mounts. As long is everything is 3/4" they should work fine together.

No complaints from what I received from Springields scratch and dent either. The cosmetically damage is probably less than what I'd do to them the first trip on the water.

Here is the page in my build thread that shows the "freight damaged" seat bases and my captains seat base/mount I purchased back in the summer. Also recently purchased 2 13" pedestals that have a few scratches on them for $7 or so a piece. Can't beat it!!!

Well you need to determine if your seat base is threaded or not. Once decided you will just be looking for items to be 3/4" pin. Bass Pro descriptions of its pedestals, mounts and bases tell if it is 3/4" pin or not. Looking at their site I see plenty of low pedestals(11"-15") with 3/4" pins but nothing over 15". The ones I do see are adjustable and look to have the seat base permanently mounted to the pedestal and I don't know if they come off. I don't know if it is possible to just get two low pedestals (11" or so) and put them together to make a long one for the front and then take it apart and only use one for the back mount. See example below.

DrNip is right in that you'll need to determine if your seat base is threaded. A threaded pin will fit into a threaded or non-threaded base. But a non-threaded pin will only fit into a non-threaded base. But after re-reading your initial thread I'm not sure exactly what you currently have? If you have nothing here is what I'd suggest.

2 - 3/4" pin style bases. One for the bow and one for the rear bench. I have the Kingpin 7" x 7" and am happy with them.
1 - 3/4" pedestal in the length of your choice.
1 - 3/4" swivel-eze seat mount. I bought mine from Wal-Mart for about $17
1 - High back seat of your choice. I'd suggest getting at least a mid-grade seat and not the cheap plastic type. I got the "Camo Angler High Back Seat" from Cabelas and couldn't be happier.

With the above setup you could use your seat on the stern mount or pop it off throw in your pedestal in the bow base and then your seat on top and have an elevated seat up front.

I'm 6'8", 270lbs and put a lot of torque and stress on my seats and bases. No issues so far with about 6 months of pretty hard use.

Wow, you guys nailed it. I went to the scratch and dent deal and ordered exactly what I was looking for. Now to order a seat. My confusion was with the threaded pins and there interchangeability . Thank you very much for the help.
As a side note, I'm live in Oregon and we don't have a forum like this and for sure one where the dialog and attitude is at the high standard as this one. You all may live hundreds or even thousands of miles apart and you treat everyone as a friend. That is rare in the world we live in. Again thanks.
