got it done sice the last post. Like I said the original idea was to gain the space we needed and a good console steer outboard for a tin boat down the road while being able to use this in the mean time but I'm happy with how this came out I may just keep it for our boat for the forseeable future....
Finished product as of today:
The End of the Old Tin... Meeting the new Owner
toyed around with the idea of just installing my 550 on it
But settled on a new Helix 5 GPS
Transom is solid but there were cracks on the cap... PO caulked them every year... I did a quick fiberglass job.. Yeah I know that isn't a good paint match but it'll do
the original seats were faded but in good shape although the drivers seat was broken. I vinyl Dyed the front bench and pad, did nothing to the middle swivel seats other than add the lund decals, and replaced the drivers seat with one from my old tin i saved.
added the rod holders and 50# minn Kota salvaged from my tin as well
the shift knob was dry rotted and chalky so i sanded it and sprayed it with Krylon Fusion looks great
added a Northland Ruler
and a New Plexiglass Windshield
I stripped and painted the trailer, all new LED wiring, new Bearings, New Tires and Wheels as well. this was a fun project now to FISH!
