Should I add an inline fuel filter?

I have to replace the fuel line connector anyway (the spring broke) should I add an inline fuel filter while I’m at it? I know there is a screen in the fuel pump (’84 15hp Johnson) but it seems like low cost insurance against any crap in the tank.

Absolutely. I like to put mine under the engine hood if theres room
