Small boat oars

In Michigan is there a requirement for the size of oars on a 14 foot boat? I don't plan on using them, it's just for emergency situations.

I have 7 ft oars for my 14 foot jon.
I used a formula that somebody showed me when I was shopping for them (I don't remember it :LOL2: ). The width of the boat is more important than the length.

What is your main form of propulsion ?
trolling motor, outboard or ????
I think that a lot of smaller power boats carry
the telescoping plastic paddles for emergencies. (I do).
Available everywhere for $20. Stores at 18" extends up to 4 feet.

I have a 9.9hp and a trolling motor so I was looking at the telescoping small ones to store underneath the bow floor or in the back. Didn't know if there was a size limit that they needed to be.
