Met up with Jimmy (Jil rotary) at a feeder stream on the upper De Bay / River (Sorry, not my spot so I cannot give the exact location)

Meet up with Jimmy around 8:00 p.m. just in time to watch the tide bottom out for the next two hours - but for a change it did not matter. On my third or fourth cast i feel something pick up my 6" Fin-S on a swimbait hook and it was game on! I had a brief tussle and managed to land this 26" rock:

I posted two pics of the same fish becuase it was my only fish of teh night - but no complaints.

I thenm watched Jimmy put on a striper slaying show - he does not hook up for about another hour - but then lands three fish in rapid succession - including a 30"

I got once nice tap and a few tugs that may, or may not, have been fish but landed nothing else.

We took a 10 minute break and get out of the rain for a bit. After a soda and some stretching we started fishing again. The tide was starting to come in and I saw a few fish blow up right in front of me. jimmy spots something that he thinks is a fish swim by and a few minutes latter i hear him say - GOT YOU!

I ended my night at that point and no, the beaver left me alone this time

Jimmy stayed and managed one more fish - he was a man on a mission and would not be denied

Things are really heating up down there. Figures, the night I don't go. Anyway, congrats on the stripes.

Nice Stripes guys!!

I haven't been Striper fishing this year YET, but have heard the bite has slowed at the local lake BUT have heard they are hitting bucktail jigs and swimbaits pretty good in the River... (Landlocked Stipers and Hybrids)

Nice catching guys. They must be some hard fighters.
How many are you aloud to keep down there and whats the size limit?

Right now you cannot keep any (where i was fishing anyway) - they are coming up the rivers from the ocean to spawn.

Most of the year it is 2 fish at 28" or greater

In DE they are doing a slot limit for July and August (Pennsylvania has one for April - May 2 fish between 20 and 26")
