Well I am going to change how I set up my boat so I can install console and move seating set up. I will not modify front platform but from there back it will all change. I am going to sell the 40 HP Mariner and have a 50 HP Mariner installed. I will remove the middle platform and install a rear deck. So alot on the table and need to have all this work done by March so I can jerk the lips off some of the bass at the Stick Marsh in Palm Bay, Florida!!!!!!

I got my 50 hp Mercury purchased on Thursday. I also got the middle section of my boat removed and I have ordered the console as well. I am going to put a raised floor in the boat in the middle section so I have a good flat surface to fasten the console to. Once I get the 40 hp Mariner sold I will install the jack plate and then bolt up the 50 Mercury. All in all things are moving forward and I have this comming wed off so I hope to get started on the raised floor.

Well my jack plate arrived and thanks to some of my Ham radio buddies I was able to get the 50 HP off the old boat and at least mounted on my boat. I picked up some controls from the motor so now to get them mounted and fabricate the floor for the console area and the rear deck. I got all the aluminum angle and tube to get that done. I have some pics of my progress and will get them posted soon. I need to find a 15 pitch prop for the 50. I am pretty sure my 12 pitch wont keep motor in right RPM range.

I have a cover made for battery compartment, even though I will have a deck over everything in the back half.

Well I had a few days off and got busy on my boat project. I have the fuel tank installed and the rear deck is almost complete. I installed the steering console yesterday as well. Here are pics of the progress.

The steering console. Under the black cover in the back is the batteries. I ended up putting fuel fill just to the right of the rear seat.

I am going to change out all the seats and install four seats that match. I also need a new steering wheel for it. I will be installing the led lights inside the boat today. Trying to get it finished because my buddies are catching alot of large mouth bass right now! Here is the motor with everything connected and I took off the old graphics off the cowling. I am going to get it wrapped.

I live close to the St. Johns river in Central Florida so I took it there for a test! I love the 50HP Mercury!!! I put a 15 pitch stainless prop on it. I still need to get a tach and fuel gauge installed and the livewell.

I am going to put Durbak on the floors and platforms. I still have to fabricate the storage system for all my tackle trays. I am very pleased with how the boat performs!!
