This pass Saturday on the lake

I was out last saturday and only got 2 bass using red traps.
I was ripping it off the bottom but I was watching a guy in hes boat and he was doing the samething but he was ripping it off the bottom so hard he was getting alot more bass then me. I mean he was really ripping it. I said to myself If I did that my arms would come off in 20 mins..LOL.
I was doing more of a slow ripping. I guess I should do more harding ripping and see what happens.

Do you guys rip a trap slow or hard off the bottom when the water is cold ?

:twisted: I usually start by ripping traps through or just above submerged grass. If that doesn't get any strikes I will slow down the retrieval. Sometimes letting the trap flutter down in the water column. Once you find out whats working, stick with it!!!
