saw this boat on the list.. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/boa/756443161.html ....now would u expect this boat to be as "tippy" as a jon boat of similar length? just curious thx
 
A little more specificity would be great here. That hull is basically a 17 foot mod vee jon hull. I think it may have a little deadrise at the transom, but most 17 foot mod vees have deadrise. So, it should be EXACTLY as tippy as a 17 foot mod vee with the same bottom width, same interior layout, and same engine.
 
Normally Mod-Vs are slightly less stable than a flat bottom of the same size. But I personally think the difference is slight enough that I go for Mod-Vs anyway. They give you a few distinct advantages while under way.
