Hello all,

I continue in the hunt for a boat and I ran across this particular option and want to get an opinion to see if I am getting killed.

Tracker boat with trailer and trolling motor, one seat, all for $700. Is that a steal or a kill. Seller advised boat is almost brand new so is the trailer.

Now, what do you know about the tracker brand ? are those good boats ?

How do you measure a boat, I don't know what these words refer to:

Beam Width vs Bottom Width ?

Transom height ?

I don't think that's a steal by any means. The boat brand new is $549, and then there's the matter of that not being a boat trailer which will quickly become a real PITA to launch and load. A trolling motor isn't that big of a deal especially if it's a few years old which that one looks to be. I personally think the guy wants too much for it, new or not. If it was on a boat trailer or had a little gas motor then i might consider it but 12' jon boats with a real boat trailers are easy to find and half the time a little kicker is included.

i agree the trailer is a harbor freight bolt together trailer it is light weight 4x8 i bought one last year on sale for 100.00 i wouldnt want to use it for a boat the boat new is 550.00 if it was me i would find something else

I agree with everyone else... definitely not a steal.

Boat: $550 + $50 freight & dealer prep (rip off)

Trailer:
As previously stated... around $100

Trolling Motor:
Looks to be an older motor... $50-75

Boat Seat:
Around $50

All of that stuff adds up to around $800 but I I'm pretty confident I could find a better deal for the same or close to the same money...

If you're interested, make a low offer and see if he bites. You never know until you ask.

yep good boat the trackers.

But I agree offer way less if ya like it. $700 is too much for all

show $500 cash in your hand and see if he'll take it for all of it

Thanks guy, you are truly a wealth of knowledge...

I looked at that trailer and did not even noticed that it was a flat boat...

No wonder this boat has been on the add for a few weeks now and still available.

When am I going to learn... When it looks too good, there is always something...

Back to the $250 V boat that I have been thinking about... Best deal so far...

Much better deals around for sure.

I got my 15 footer with trailer and 20hp johnson for 900. Now, it all was quite a bit older than that and needed a little love, But I was going to re-do any boat I got for bowfishing. The motor alone would have cost me probably at least 600? Not sure what the going rate would be for something as old as mine is, but still.

I looked up the trailer, thanks guy, I never knew about the HF trailers...

The trailer included is actually $319 new and the bed tilts all the way to the ground for loading.

Like most agree here, I think the general price for a jon boat with nothing included is about $250.

Walmart trolling motors new go for about $120.

Used real boat trailers around here seems to go for $350.

So, a newer jon boat, with elchepo made to work trailer and an old trolling motor, $500 top.

$250 for the boat
$50 for the motor
$200 for the trailer

I will pull out the $500 bill and see if he byte, else back to the other $250 boat that still available but not trailer...
