Transom Mount Trolling Motor Question????

I have a 1552 Jon Boat with a 101lb thrust foot control on the bow. This will be an electric only setup.

To achieve optimal speed, what lb thrust would be ideal on the back,.......considering the add'l weight of a 36volt system or a 24volt system? In other words, does the weight of an add'l battery cancel out the added lbs of thrust between a 101 and a 82, for example?
